Kev McLoughlin and Ashley Dance had a great day off Warrnambool on Saturday, tagging and releasing a couple of blue sharks and a mako, as well as Kev catching this 161.4kg mako right at the end of the day. Leigh Anderson jumped aboard from Cassius Cray to help with getting the fish boated.  The fight was short, only about 20 minutes, and the shark went pretty crazy boatside!

It was also a good day on Cassius Cray, with 5 Tassie trumpeter all 7-8kg, as well as a very small mako.

Jackson Wilson and Darren Baker managed a 35kg mako yesterday.

Ben Gaunt caught a 62kg porbeagle shark yesterday with Southern Coast Charters at Port Fairy.

Dan Mackeral’s crew got amongst some tuna in close at Portland.

Godfrey Strong again  caught a nice feed of fish out of his Anglapro Bandit 454.

There were plenty of good catches in the first couple of days of the Shipwreck coast fishing classic. Running till next weekend there is still plenty of time to enter at www.wolgfc.com
