The bottom fishing between Warrnambool and Portland has been fishing red hot of late. Gummy and School sharks have been the target for most anglers but catches of Flathead, pinkies and Nannygai have been very consistent. Whiting have also been on fire on the inshore grounds with the average quality of fish being exceptional.
Tuna continue to bite around the inshore areas. Fish to 23kg have been taken by those trolling small skirts such as the Pakula Micro Uzi’s.
Anglers putting the time into targeting Kings have been having good success both jigging and throwing surface lures such as sluggo’s and Rapala Subwalks.
