Salty Dog Charters at Port Fairy have had a great time of it as well, catching plenty and Dan keeping his customers thrilled with the action and service. Pictured is what was kept today. Brad Parkinson, Steve Atto and Benjamin Haynes had no problems catching big numbers off Port Fairy today also.
Fresh from a couple of fleeting visits to the South-West fishing for tuna, Kev McLoughlin was back on home territory today adding some variety to the Good Friday seafood menu, with this nice snapper off Angelsea, which was about 3kg and one of five caught.
Below are some impressive statistics from Scott Gray’s day out at the shelf trolling for tuna yesterday off Port Fairy. The trip out was 20-25 knots, home was 25-30 knots, with trolling in between. All the trolling was with diving minnow lures using only 3L fuel per hour.
