With the recent reports of some quality Mako Sharks and a perfect weather forecast, Paul and Kev from Surfcoast Anglers decided to make the run to the shelf off Warrnambool to lay a trail over night. The boys had a successful night raising two Mako’s and a blue, tagging one mako at over 80kg and keeping a smaller 46kg fish for the table.

Those deep dropping the shelf have reported the blue eye fishing to be heating up. Portland has been the most productive area for most but some solid bags have also been coming from both port fairy and Warrnambool.
