There have been a few barrels encountered this week at Portland and Port Macdonnell ranging in size from 70kg to 120kg. With the full moon at the moment it’s the perfect time to chase a bigger fish amongst the school sized fish which are slowly increasing in number from the west. Warmer water has pushed down with the Leeuwin current this week with some patches of water up to 18 degrees Celcius creating some nice temperature breaks. Here’s a solid 120kg barrel caught by Port Macdonnell fishing charters yesterday.
