The stocked southwest rivers have started flowing this week and the lower reaches of the Hopkins and Merri Rivers are producing fish to 2kg on lures. Scott Gray from the Tackle Shack was one of many anglers to land a few nice fish this week.

The strong northerly winds yesterday flattened out the ocean perfectly for anglers casting metal slugs for Australian salmon in the surf. Fish up to 2.5kg have been caught from most of the open beaches in the past few days.
