With a few cracking late winter days in the mix, plenty of people have been out and making the most of the awesome weather. Callum Smythe and Dylan Pace took advantage of the low swell and strong Northerly winds late last week and found some great Crays down the coast.

The bottom bashing offshore has really heated up with plenty of reports of snapper out deep, with some cracking Gummy and School Sharks in a little closer. The boys from Surfcoast Anglers got out on the weekend and caught this awesome Schoolie that went just over 31kg and a kraken of a callamari at 3kg.

Some better tuna have been showing up amongst the school fish at both Portland and Port Mac. Sharkman Charters landed this mini Barrel of 73kg from Portland yesterday. Hopefully its a sign of things to come!

Dan Mackrell and Declan Betts fished Purrumbete Sunday afternoon where pretty much everything was on the chew. Throwing Hardbodies along the shallow weed margins saw the boys land plenty of fish including a nice Brook Trout which are a recent addition to the lake.
