Barrel action has heated up with multiple fish hooked yesterday. This fish of 99.5kg caught aboard Red Hot Charters was taken down near Cape Bridgewater where quite a bit of activity has been occurring. Of note was a larger fish fought for 8.5 hours last night off Portland before pulling the hooks at 11pm. With fish being hooked, landed and lost anywhere between Warrnambool and Port Mac in the last few days, we should see a few more appear later this week. For any advice on rigging, what lures are currently producing, techniques and where the fish are, drop into the Tackle Shack and have a chat with Scotty or Dylan.
Jonathon Solane fished off Peterborough recently where he managed a quality bag consisting of Snapper, Gummy Sharks and School Sharks. the Highlight was this Schoolie of 25kg.
Scotty Gray got out for a session on the estuaries yesterday and found the Bream keen to smack Storm Hypno Grubs.
