Gummy and School Sharks have been showing up in great numbers for the last week or two and they show no sign of slowing down. Quality School Sharks well over 30kg and Gummies to 28kg have been taken recently. Once again, Salty Dog Charters down in Port Fairy found some cracking sharks, including this horse of a Gummy pictured. We also had some promising reports come from off Warrnambool yesterday with the bottom fishing well for both species and the odd Pinkie Snapper.
The Perch Search was held down at Nelson over the weekend and despite hard conditions with he river in flood, some great fish such as this quality perch caught by Dan Mackrell were landed. 80 fish in total were taken from the river system and then flown to NSW where they will become brood stock for the Estuary Perch stocking programme.
