Fine conditions on Tuesday saw many anglers out bottom fishing for sharks and snapper. Despite being a relatively slow day there was some nice gummy and school sharks caught and plenty of tasty reef species. Scott Gray from the Tackle Shack took the Seacruiser 5600 out for a microjigging session and found a good selection of species in 70-90m of water. Apparently the squid and barracouta were also pretty thick out there as well. 100g Storm koika jigs rigged with a pair of twin assist hooks did the damage.
All the local charter boats made the most of the fine weather and caught some good sharks. Salty Dog Charters rounded up a few shark and plenty of snapper on charter.
Boat Charters Warrnambool caught school shark to nearly 30kg.
Southern Coast Charters caught a feed of snapper and some solid school shark.
