Steve Moore from Warrnambool Holiday Park fished with Steve Atto and crew off Port Fairy, straight out at the shelf, bagging out and finishing off with a 4-way. Steve got one on a light spin stick which would’ve been good fun. They were blind strikes with no visible signs, but as the shot from the trollpro shows, there is often plenty going on below.

Here’s the catch from Corey Gauci and crew fishing off Portland today.

Rhookie and Goodey, fishing on ‘Bardup’ off Port MacDonnell, reported a generally pretty quiet weekend, with a few stripies on Saturday, but they did bag out plus tag 5 more tuna today, which were kept pristine in the salt-water ice slurry, with Peter making full use of his 12 month unlimited ice “subscription”!

Port Fairy had good tuna catches out at the shelf and to the west, and while there was the odd one caught in close, it seems to have slowed but those who tried different things again got some good table fare from the bottom.

At Portland there was plenty of action, similarly some in close but the best catches came from the shelf.  Pictured below is Tom Chirnside and Jimmy Knight who fished with Mark Eland from Coota’s Fishing Adventures about 5km west of the horseshoe in around 1000m

Clayton Smith got these ripper school shark off Peterborough today.
Not a lot came in at Warrnambool from the boats I saw, a few pinkies, flathead and the odd gummy.
