The fishing offshore has been outstanding over the last couple of days. With light winds and ideal swell, many anglers hit the water and found bottom species and Tuna biting hard. Topwater anglers are having absolute insanity on fish in the 18-30kg bracket, along with a few pushing 40kg in the mix. Aaron Dillon and Ben Malouf had a chaotic session yesterday, with endless amounts of solid school fish up to and over 30kg mauling stickbaits. Currently larger profile stickbaits have been working well as the fish are feeding on Redbait. Two barrels landed out of Port Fairy yesterday, with a few whispers of lost fish as well. Portland has seen similar action with several other Barrels being landed. The bottom fish have also been chewing hard as Zac Van Wegan found out while fished off Portland. Zac managed this pocket rocket Mako, along with some tasty bottom species including a quality Blue Morwong.
