The Western Lakes have been fishing really well of late for Trout and Redfin. In particular, Redfin have been chewing hard with the onset of the cold wintery conditions. Most anglers have had no trouble finding and catching large numbers of Reddies averaging 30-45cm, with the odd cracker pushing 50cm in the mix. Zach Clark and Dylan Pace had a session on one of the local lakes where they found endless amounts of good redfin and a few Rainbow Trout. Trolling Norries Laydown Minnows in the BR-74 colour accounted for most fish. Other Anglers have done well bouncing plastics such as Berkley T-tails and Storm Hypno Grubs.
