Peter Goode and crew bagged out off Port Fairy today, plus released some as well, out at the shelf – worth noting that they saw no surface action, all blind strikes.
Also off Port Fairy – Youngy, Brodz, Pez and Carackers wandered out past the 1000m mark today and managed to land 15 tuna and releasing 10 of them. First time out for Pez and Carackers.
After a few weeks of tuna being caught at Apollo Bay, including in close off Blanket Bay, a barrel has been caught today and at least two lost boatside after a lengthy fights.
Off Portland, most of the charter boats bagged out again, and with a large flotilla of boats down for the weekend, many of the recreational guys did well also, however there were plenty who struggled to get amongst them. Pictured is some of the catch from Portland Fishing Charters.
