Amazing news overnight with the rod and reel capture of a swordfish off Port MacDonnell by Carn Taylor and crew! Expect this won’t be the last, and expect to see them this side of the border as well, as several people have dedicated attempts at catching one of these elusive fish over the years based on reports of them appearing in professional catches. No doubt with this ground breaking capture we will see more anglers head out with the confidence to keep trying. Well done to those involved. The fish weighed in at 154.70kg, caught on 37kg line.
Rhooky, on his way out to the shelf this morning off Warrnambool, bagged out on tuna in 60m.
