There was more white than blue on the water today but we had to get our good Friday sashimi! This was in 80m 36kms due south off Warrnambool today. We were on our way to the shelf but seeing some tuna at this spot and this one taking the second lure while it was being fed out, we thought we might be in for a good session, but the school dissipated and that was it. By the time we trolled around this area for a while we decided against the remaining 18 kilometres to the shelf, and didn’t see any more. Should’ve done the extra distance, as Ashley Dance and crew on Intruder caught a dozen or so tuna tagging most, and a couple of albacore at the shelf off Port Fairy. Conditions were terrible!
