Today on Port Macdonnell Fishing Charters they landed 13 tuna before setting the anchor to do some bottom fishing, catching 2 gummy shark and 2 nannygai. Then Mike hooked a large mako on the bottom which came to the surface very quickly, made a big splash and then powered away stripping line until it straightened the hook, got them all excited. The mako must have attacked the burley bag on the anchor line and bit through the rope so bye bye anchor!
Charlie Vella reports that the salmon are biting at Camperdown – they caught 13 fish between 4 and lost a few as well.
