Over the weekend, Port MacDonnell Fishing Charters caught 22 tuna on Saturday and 20 on Sunday, so there are still plenty coming through. They also caught a bronze whaler shark off the bottom.
Tom Fox fished the Glenelg River on Sunday with Scott Addinsal, catching bream to 36cm, Estuary Perch to 39cm and 3 undersize mulloway.
Tylan Brooks caught this bream in the Hopkins over the weekend.
A great freshwater report from Simon Rudkovsky: “We arrived at Toolondo Thursday night and left on Tuesday! Fished all mornings and evenings (the plan was to be on the water by light….8-8:30am is near enough we thought) Gave float fishing a shot with muddies and bullheads but no go! Pretty much ended up drifting around and casting tassies, rapalas, vibes as well as fly fishing! 2lb brown was caught on a tassie with white pink and i think black on it! the 4.77lb brown was caught on a pink and black tassie and the rainbow was caught on a glassie that i had drifting out the back only 2-3 meters behind the boat! Also dropped a ripper brown on a sebile 3 jointed type of fish lure…..that i guess would have been the biggest for the trip…. and it still has the lure in its gob! Fish were caught on 6lb braid with 4lb leader!! Thanks everyone for the advice! Gave us a good starting point and steered us in the right direction! This by far is now my favourite lake for more then just the obvious reason! I was always hoping this place would get some rain or for water to be released into toolondo! This has now just increased x10!”
