We’ve just completed an extensive fitout on this wicked Seacruiser 6000 Safari—and what a build it is! The SC6000 is an incredible all-round hull: compact and nimble enough to squeeze up narrow rivers, yet just as comfortable sitting over the continental shelf in 1000 metres of water.
This particular boat is heading north for a massive long-range barra trip only weeks after delivery, and we can’t wait to see the adventures it gets up to.
One of the standout features of the Seacruiser 6000 Safari is its huge front casting deck and cavernous storage. We made the most of this space during the build—because on a long-range trip, you can never have too much room for safety gear, fishing tackle, eskies, batteries, fuel, and of course, a few cold beers.
The side gunnels are another highlight. Often under-utilised in many boats, the 6000 Safari makes them shine. We designed and fabricated lockable hinged doors to keep valuables safe from the elements and unwanted attention. Inside, we fitted
Atwood rod holders and
Quazi Marine flooring to create a full-length rod locker, perfect for serious casting gear.
The front deck also hides a massive underfloor compartment with a gas-strut-supported hatch. This space has been lined with
Quazi Marine flooring and fitted with a 24V 100Ah
BLA lithium battery. For added versatility, the deck features a removable T-bar for stand-up casting support, along with provisions to mount an umbrella—ideal for beating the Northern Territory sun.
Performance comes courtesy of the
Suzuki Australia Marine DF175 fly-by-wire outboard—a powerhouse known for reliability and smooth handling. We paired it with
Seastar Xtreme jacking plates (featuring a 4” setback) and
Dometic trim tabs, giving the skipper absolute precision and control in all conditions.
Every Seacruiser build sets a new benchmark in quality craftsmanship and marine electronics, and this Safari is no exception. We’ve equipped it with the very best gear:
Garmin Marine Force Kraken electric motor, running 24V for maximum efficiency and power.
Garmin GPSMap 8416 at the helm, paired with a GT15 transducer and twin Navionics cards for complete coverage of Australian waters.
A
Barji Marine custom switch panel, seamlessly integrated into the dash with power outlets and a circuit breaker.
Full helm suite including
Suzuki digital gauges and controls,
Scanstrut wireless phone charger,
Dometic trim tab controls, and
Dometic jacking plate adjustment.
Lonestar Marine GX2 anchor winch up front, fitted with high-spec rope, ready for heavy-duty action.
The custom-built
EasyTow tandem-axle 6m trailer completes the package, designed specifically to suit the 6000 Safari. With EasyTow’s reputation for reliability, quality, and simple maintenance, it’s the perfect match for towing this boat to the most remote and rewarding fishing locations Australia has to offer.
This fitout is a true showcase of Aussie workmanship, premium marine products, and thoughtful design—everything you need in a serious adventure-ready fishing boat.
