2026 Stabicraft 1850 Supercab

02 Jun 26

Last year we had the crazy idea of painting a Stabicraft 2350 Supercab in a custom military, olive green - after all, who paints an offshore boat green?! It seems however, that boat gained a lot of traction and inspired a lot of people; including the new owner of this beautiful 1850 Supercab who just had to have our colour! The arrival of this boat coincided well with Suzuki's Stealth range of engines finished in a gloomy matte black, which matched perfectly with the Spica Pearl (matte grey) cabin of the Stabi. But of course, this package wasn't just about looks - it had to perform and fish well too!

From factory, the hull came with plenty of handy options. These included an ambient blue LED lighting package and twin deck lights, EVA internal cabin side lining, elite bolster seats, live bait tank, electric motor mount, and a drum winch. The standard hydraulic steering was also upgraded to our preferred Hydrive kit.

We have always loved our custom fitted Easytow trailers on all Stabicraft boats; but this particular 1850 had something a little extra. The steel trailer sides and cross members were upgraded to I-Beam, with the addition of a Boat Catch (a must have!) and Boat Buckles. We reckon it's a perfect setup for the 1850; offering simple loading with a drive on/off design when coupled with the Boat Catch, made right here in Australia with top notch Fulton components and designed specifically to suit the hull using Stabi's CAD drawings. To protect the beautiful custom paint, we worked with Ultra Metals here in Warrnambool to build some high quality stainless steel stoneguards on the trailer - one less thing to worry about on our Victorian roads!

The matte black Suzuki Stealth engine is the perfect match for this boat. As always, we went with max HP, at 140, selecting the precision control (fly-by-wire) electronic throttle model. This ensures quick throttle response at all times, just like your car. The 140 Suzuki is legendary for good reason; excellent fuel economy, incredible reliability and super quiet - all the things you need when planning a long range offshore mission where you need a motor that you can trust and won't drink fuel like a thirsty camel.

We also fitted plenty of other goodies to this vessel; a Simrad 16" sounder with twin transom transducers, Simrad VHF radio, Fusion MS-RA210 stereo and XS speakers, underwater lighting - and of course all of our standard on-water inclusions such as an offshore safety kit, SARCA anchor, dual Delkor battery kit, & factory re-wire. What a package!
