The Warrnambool and District Angling Club held their first competition for the 2018-2019 season yesterday in less than ideal conditions. Fishing was slower than usual due to the weather and dirty water but some guys found some nice fish. Rob Oneill got heaviest fish with a bream of 1.237kg and Isaac Primmer landed heaviest bag of 4.03kg. Mick Hunt got heaviest other fish with an Estuary Perch of 1.385kg and 48cm. The guys fishing bait got the fish mainly on cut mullet while anglers using lures were getting fish on Vibes and Zman Slim Swimz.
