The Hopkins River continues to fish consistently with Allansford And District Angling Club holding their 3rd comp for the year yesterday. Paul Lamb landed the heaviest fish of the comp with a 1.067kg Bream while Aiden Gordon landed the heaviest for a junior at 731g. There were reports of some quite big Bream over 44cm landed on the weekend and also a 78cm Mulloway by the same anglers. Metal blades have been the standout of late by anglers casting lures and the shrimp and cut mullet the choice for baito’s.
