The fine weather over the past few days saw plenty of anglers out chasing pelagics along the southwest coast. Kingfish and tuna have been caught right through from Portland to Apollo bay with kingfish to 13kg and tuna to 30kg or better being caught often in the same locations. Fish are responding to well trolled skirts, stickbaits and jigs in relatively close to shore with most fish being caught in 10-30m of water. Drop into the Tackle Shack to get the latest on where the fish are and the best lures for the job!
Scott Gray took his new Seacruiser Safari 6000 console out off Warrnambool and Port Fairy and caught some solid bluefin on Nomad riptide 155mm floating stickbaits.
Tom Alston headed out with Tim Brett out of Apollo Bay and caught the tuna/kingfish double!
