Saturday Ed and myself decided to sea trial the new SeaCruiser 4800 tiller and venture out off Warrnambool to try and find some tuna. First impressions of the baby SeaCruiser were great as we headed offshore to find some fish. There was no sign of tuna until we hit the 60m line. At 60m we could see patches of birds both working and sitting on the water. We trolled for an hour and landed 4 tuna, keeping 1 for the table. Stand out lure was the Samaki diver.
The fishing still remains good at both Port Fairy and Portland with both Red Hot Fishing Charters at Portland and Salty Dog Charters at Port Fairy getting fish.
